Our session of Wed, 27th June offered us the opportunity to know something more our Confreres’ work in some Provinces of different geographical Zones. Besides the verbal reports, many offered some Video clips of ‘ad extra’ activities in their Provinces. Those presented were from Madagascar, Holland/Belgium, India/Mumbai, Spain, Argentina Eastern Province, Australia and USA Southern Province. The clips were a display of the simplicity and willingness of the life and mission of the Provinces, shared with peoples of their particular situations, through options taken in hope; their approaches to, and service offered to the people in varied and creative ministries.
Besides these Provincial insights, the Chapter members also did some sharing in Basic Groups, as well as on Zonal level, on the SVD Directions document under discussion, in view of the Society’s planning for the coming six years. Moments of prayer and Eucharist were celebrated in the different hapter languages of Spanish and English.
El día 27 fue marcado por las presentaciones de los trabajos misioneros en algunas provincias. A los informes fueron agregados los videos de nuestra misión ad extra, producidos por cada Provincia. Los cohermanos de Madagascar, Holanda-Bélgica, India-Mumbai, España, Argentina Este, Australia y Estados Unidos Sur fueron los invitados a compartir sus trabajos misioneros. Mucho se pudo ver de la sencillez y disponibilidad, de la esperanza y nuevas opciones, de las estrategias y de la vida con las gentes.
Además de las presentaciones, los capitulares volvieron a los grupos básicos y a las Zonas continentales para debatir el texto de las Direcciones Congregacionales para el sexenio. La Eucaristía y oración fueron en grupos de idioma, inglés y español.
