SVD Lay Partners Newsletter 30 – “I Have Seen the Lord”

“I Have Seen the Lord”
Dear Friends in Mission,
Easter joy and blessings to you all!
With grateful hearts in the Risen Lord, we are happy to share with you the SVD Laici Newsletter – Easter Edition 30.
This issue is truly a celebration of life, faith, and mission. From the Special Topic on Lay Partners Training in Guwahati to the rich sharing from the AFRAM, ASPAC, EUROPA, and PANAM Zones, every page echoes the living witness of our global missionary family. Each story is a reminder that the Resurrection is not just a message we proclaim, but a life we live together.
Like Mary Magdalene, who joyfully proclaimed, “I have seen the Lord,” we too are called to recognize Him in our everyday mission — in our service, our encounters, and our journey. Across cultures and continents, we continue to witness to the Light — from everywhere, for everyone.
May this Easter edition renew our faith, deepen our unity, and strengthen our commitment as lay partners in mission — truly one faith, one family, one mission.
With joy, gratitude, and Easter hope,
Susan Noronha,
Editor-in-chief, SVDLP Newsletter

“Across four SVD zones, mission stories that inspire the world!”
Dear friends,
Warm greetings to you!
We’re happy to share with you the August 2025 issue (Issue 28) of our newsletter, filled with inspiring stories, mission highlights, and reflections that witness to God’s presence in our lives and communities. This edition brings a special feature on the First Zonal Meeting of the SVD Lay Partners of the EUROPA Zone, an important milestone in fostering collaboration, unity, and shared mission across borders. We also highlight the Second Lay Partners Meeting of the Southern Subzone in Chile, a joyful gathering that deepened bonds of friendship and commitment among participants.
You will also find heartfelt experience reports from lay partners and missionaries, offering glimpses into the joys, challenges, and grace-filled moments of mission life. In addition, we share the news from the SVD around the world, celebrating events, initiatives, and activities that continue to inspire and connect us in our shared calling.
We hope you find joy, encouragement, and insight in these pages. As always, thank you for journeying with us. Your prayerful support and partnership continue to make a difference.
Warm regards,
Susan Noronha,

Dear friends,
Holy Week blessings to you!
As we prepare for the joy of Easter,, we’re excited to share this special issue of our newsletter, filled with stories of faith, hope, and the warmth of God’s presence. From heartfelt farewells and warm welcomes in the Generalate Mission Secretary’s office, to the grassroots realities and joyful gatherings in our AFRAM, ASPAC, EUROPA, and PANAM zones, a testament to the spirit and dedication of SVD lay partners worldwide.
We are especially grateful to all contributors for their generous sharing of time, talent, and faith. Your voices make this publication truly a mission in print.
As you flip through the pages, we hope you feel connected and encouraged. Like the disciples on the road to Emmaus, may we recognize Jesus walking with us, sometimes in ways we least expect. May our hearts be stirred, our steps renewed, and our faith strengthened.
He is Risen! Alleluia!
With joy and gratitude,
Susan Noronha
