Rogelio Bag-ao, SVD-PHS Provincial Superior, we asked the members of the Arnoldus Family to think about the fourth Characteristic Dimension (Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation).

Our SVD Constitutions express important impulses in this regard.

Nr.645. In the administration and use of means entrusted to us, we must observe poverty, simplicity and justice. This holds true especially for extraordinary administration, that is, for acquiring, alienating and mortgaging property, as well as for building, investing and assuming debts.

Nr. 120.3 We do not hesitate to take a prudent and responsible position concerning social-political conditions. This position should accord with the gospel teaching, the directives of the Holy See and local hierarchy, and be taken in harmony with the community.

Nr. 112.2 Our struggle is not only against famine, ignorance and the denial of human rights but especially against the sinfulness of the human heart which is at the root of the oppressive structures and systems that cause these evils.
