On February 25 at 2:00 PM, Divine Word Boys High School in Katani, Nairobi, Kenya, hosted a Plaque Unveiling and Computer Installation Ceremony made possible through the generosity of the SVD Generalate and the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Embassy.

The event brought together confreres, school administrators, students, and distinguished guests, including representatives of the R.O.C. (Taiwan). The program featured welcome remarks from the School Director, Fr. Geoffrey, SVD; a message from a student representative; and reflections from the Kenya–Tanzania Provincial representative, Fr. Jerome, and Fr. Richard Quadros, SVD, General Coordinator for JPIC. Special addresses were delivered by H.E. Anthony C. Y. Ho, R.O.C. (Taiwan) Ambassador to the Holy See, and H.E. Chen-Hwa Lou, R.O.C. (Taiwan) Ambassador to the Republic of Somaliland.

The ceremony culminated in the official unveiling of the commemorative plaque and a demonstration of the newly installed computer facilities, which aim to strengthen digital learning and expand educational opportunities for students.

Participating virtually via Zoom from the SVD Generalate in Rome were General Council members Fr. Eryk Koppa and Fr. Jerome Marquez; Fr. Anbu Pushpa, General Secretary for Formation; Fr. Richard Quadros, General Coordinator for JPIC; Fr. Marcelo Cattaneo, General Coordinator for Mission Animation; Fr. Damien Bakoma, Rector of the Collegio Verbo Divino; and Fr. Max Wullar, General Secretary. Their presence underscored the global solidarity of the Congregation in supporting educational initiatives within the mission.

This initiative reflects the shared commitment of the SVD and its partners to promote education, technological empowerment, and sustainable development in the mission context.
