 “The book Our Names Are Written in Heaven, published by the Carmelite Sisters of Teresa, contains the harrowing testimonies of victims of human trafficking, several of them from young children, adolescents, adults, their families, police officers involved in rescue operations, and staff from victim shelters. Reading these testimonies takes us into the painful experience of suffering, fear, and despair endured by the victims, and the evil of the traffickers and those who exploit them for sexual purposes. This book shakes us out of the bubble we live in and awakens us to the sad reality that, in our cities and towns, there are innocent victims of human trafficking”.
