Centro Ad Gentes, Nemi
Ants at Work: The Inspiring Team of Centro Ad Gentes
Go watch the ants…. Watch what they do and be wise. Ants have no commander, no leader or ruler, but they store up food in the summer and gather their supplies at harvest.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Ants are famous for their tireless work ethic. They always gather food and build their colonies without any need for supervision. They work together effortlessly, each taking on a role that benefits the entire colony. Much like these industrious insects, the SVD staff at Nemi exhibits an extraordinary sense of dedication and teamwork.

During our stay at the beautiful Ad Gentes Center in Nemi, we have been fortunate to observe our diligent confreres—Seraphin Kpakpayi, John Bissue, Kulandaisamy Soosai, Fabio Pires, Endo Mau Loko, and Thomas Heck—in action. Their efforts, much like an ant colony, are relentless, organized, and self-motivated.
Walking through the center, attending meetings, or participating in liturgy celebrations, one can’t help but notice the seamless coordination among our confreres. Each of them, Seraphin, John, Endo, Thomas, Soosai, and Fabio, brings their unique skills and dedication to their roles. Their individual contributions are not just noticed, but deeply appreciated.
The work ethic of our confreres and personnel is deeply ingrained in Centro Ad Gentes’s DNA. Their continuous energy to serve, work, and meet the center’s and its guests’ needs is truly commendable. Their efforts are not just noticed; they are integral to the smooth running of the center. Watching them at work is like observing a well-coordinated colony of ants, each playing a crucial role.
We are immensely grateful for their hard work, unity, and teamwork. Their self-motivation keeps the center running smoothly and inspires the staff to be more engaged and proactive. Their dedication is not just admirable, but it also serves as a source of inspiration for all of us, raising essential questions about our work ethic and community spirit.
