Father Superior General Anselmo Ricardo Ribeiro and his Council appointed Fr. Marlon Bobier Vargas as editor-in-chief of Arnoldus Nota, effective February 1, 2025.

Fr. Vargas, SVD, was born in the Philippines and began his missionary journey with the Society of the Divine Word in Techny, USA. After completing two years of initial formation, he pursued theological studies in Chicago in 2015. In 2016, his vocation brought him to Spain, where he engaged in pastoral training (OTP) in the communities of Dueñas and Niebla.

In 2018, he returned to Chicago to complete his theological formation and was then assigned to the Spanish Province (ESP) in 2019. His pastoral ministry has included parish ministry, vocation animation, missionary secretary, and coordinator of formation and vocations for the European Zone.

In February 2025, he will begin his role as Editor-in-Chief of Arnoldus Nota in Rome, combining his passion for communication with his dedication to missionary spirituality. His journey exemplifies a steadfast commitment to the Divine Word Missionaries, contributing with his experience, leadership, and deep vocational spirit.
