Father Superior General Anselmo Ricardo Ribeiro and his Council appointed Fr. Iato Olivier Noclam as English Secretary to the Generalate, effective Feburary 1, 2025.

Fr.  Noclam, originally from the island of Vanuatu, began his missionary formation with the Society of the Divine Word in Australia. Throughout his life, he has devoted his vocation to pastoral service and leadership within the Church.

In 2001, his first mission took him from Australia to Mexico, marking the beginning of an international journey of service. During his time in Cuba, he ministered in Havana (2006) and Mayarí (2011), taking on various pastoral responsibilities. From 2011 to 2013, his leadership abilities led to his appointment as Vice-Superior of the Cuban District. 

In 2014, he returned to Australia to begin a new chapter in Alice Springs, where he contributed significantly to pastoral and administrative development. He was appointed District Administrator of the Northern Territory in 2015 and later served as Superior in 2017, solidifying his expertise in mission management. 

Fr. Noclam also played a key role in spiritual formation at the Logos Spirituality Centre and served as Vice-Superior of the Northern Territory during two terms, from 2020 to 2022 and again from 2023 to 2025.

In 2024, his extensive experience culminated in his appointment as English Secretary to the Generalate, a role based in Rome, where he continues to serve with dedication, vision, and fidelity to the mission.
