Appointment of Assistant to the Treasurer General

On August 23, 2025, the General Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Fr. Vishal Steevan D’Souza, SVD as the Assistant General Treasurer.

Fr. Vishal was born in Kelmbet, India. He entered the novitiate in 2006, professed his first vows in 2007, perpetual vows in 2012, and was ordained a priest in 2014.
He has served in the India Mumbai Province, first as Communication Coordinator (2017–2020), then as Regional Treasurer (2020–2023), and most recently as Praeses in Dorodosy, SVD Ambatobe (2023–2025).

In his new mission, Fr. Vishal will assist in the management and stewardship of the Generalate’s financial resources, ensuring responsible service in support of the Society’s mission.
We warmly welcome him to this new responsibility and wish him every blessing in his service to the Generalate, our confreres, and our mission partners.
