Within a few weeks, we will hold the formation workshop for new superiors at the Ad Gentes Center in Nemi. This formation is intended for those who have recently been elected to leadership positions in our provinces, regions, and missions (PRMs). The term “election” itself may be associated with political practices in our civil societies, but for us it refers to an individual and communal process of discernment, in which everyone has both the right and the responsibility to participate for the good of the community and the mission. In this process, the general council participates in various ways, according to the method proper to each PRM.
