Missionary synodal Consecrated Life. Assembly of Superiors General
The Union of Superiors General (USG) held its 102nd General Assembly in Rome, November 20-22, on the theme “How to be a missionary synodal Consecrated Life”. Father General, Anselmo Ribeiro, participated in this Assembly for the first time.
Three other confreres took part in the meeting. Roy Thomas, as Secretary for JPIC in the USG, presented the activities developed together with the International Union of Superiors General (UISG), and Fr. Mark Ramos and Piotr Gracz, from the Generalate Media Department, documented the event with photographs and video.
The main topics presented and discussed during the Assembly were the Synod on Synodality and its final document in the perspective of Consecrated Life; the revision of the document on mutual relations between Bishops, Consecrated Life and ecclesial Aggregations; and the Jubilee 2025, with the theme “Pilgrims of Hope”.
The Assembly also elected its Executive Council for the next three years and the Extended Council for the Missionary Congregations. Anselmo Ribeiro will be part of this Extended Council, whose main objective will be to share missionary experiences with the Dicastery for Evangelization.
