15 Rosaries for 150 Years: A Global Wave of Prayer for the SVD

The Polish Province marked the SVD’s 150th Jubilee with the campaign “15 Rosaries for 150 Years.” A total of 940 participants from 386 locations worldwide pledged to pray. Their intentions were remembered in a special Mass on September 8, 2025, at St. Arnold’s tomb in Steyl.

One of the initiatives undertaken by POL in our Jubilee Year was the campaign “15 rosaries for the 150th anniversary of the SVD”. We asked friends of the mission, our benefactors and parishioners to pray for all members of our Congregation around the world.

A total of 940 people from 386 locations in Poland and abroad (Belarus, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Lithuania, Netherlands, Spain and USA) declared their participation in this initiative. Each person, by filling out a special declaration, committed to praying 15 rosaries for the given intention by the end of the Jubilee Year. The progress of the campaign, with updated numbers of participants and their places of residence, could be followed on the website of the Polish Province, werbisci.pl.

Participants in the campaign will receive a commemorative souvenir. On 8 September 2025, a Holy Mass was celebrated in Steyl at the tomb of St. Arnold for their intentions
