AFRAM EXECOM Meeting in Maputo
The participants were Fr. Cyprian Kuupol, the Chairperson of the ExeCom, Fr. Alex Dhae, the Vice Chairperson, Fr. Willibrord Kamion, the Zonal Coordinator and secretary of the ExeCom and Fr. Hugo Calis, the Zonal Coordinator for formation. Also in an attendance was the regional superior of the SVDs in Moҫambique, Bro Rudnick Moacir Jose, who was invited to participate in their deliberations as the receiving superior.
The event addressed crucial topics related to the functioning and growth of the AFRAM zone. These include initial formation program as such distribution of candidates for the various novitiate houses and common formation centres for Theological studies in the zone. The committee reaffirmed the centrality and priority of formation in the Afram zone. As the chairperson put, “formation is the life wire of the congregation” here in the AFRAM zone and as such one of the points discussed in the ExeCom agenda was about creating healthy environment for quality formational program, both spiritually and academically for our formadis.
In this way the EXeCOM through this meeting also reaffirmed the entire AFRAM Zone commitment to an integral formation of its seminarians/brothers, otherwise, the preparation of missionaries capable of responding to the pastoral and social challenges of Africa and Madagascar in-particular and the world at large. Participants highlighted the importance of collaboration among PRM superiors and constant monitoring of common programs to ensure the continuity and efficiency of training process at the zone level.
