The workshop addressed a wide range of topics relevant to missionary ministry and life in the United States. These included Cultural Orientation; the Sex Abuse Crisis in the American Catholic Church; Responsible Use of the Internet; the Importance of Human Resources; Ministerial Self-Care; Navigating the U.S. Healthcare System: Core Vocabulary and Best Practices; Sexuality; Finances and Accountability; American Justice and Civic Law; Ministering in a Racist and Xenophobic Society; and Immigration Updates. Participants also had the opportunity to meet with Adam Oleszczuk, Gus Wall, and Linyong Peter Zhai. 

The workshop was organized by Rodney Bowers and Dennis Callan. The primary goal of the Cultural Orientation Workshop was to provide members with practical suggestions, resources, and useful information to assist them as they continue to adjust to new cultural contexts in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. The workshop also provided a valuable opportunity for participants to meet and build relationships with fellow Divine Word Missionaries serving in the three U.S. Provinces, as well as with members of the Techny community and Province Center.

Overall, the workshop was an enriching experience that fostered greater cultural awareness, practical preparation, and fraternity among the participants as they continue their missionary service.
