The 19th SVD General Chapter affirmed Lay Mission Partners as an integral part of the SVD mission worldwide and called for greater formation, networking, and collaboration in shared projects.

The formation program was facilitated by Fr. Savari Rayan, Mr. Sumit Dhanraj, and Fr. Felix Jones.

Mr. Sumit Dhanraj presented the history, charism, values, and spirituality of the Arnoldus Family. He reflected on the roots of St. Arnold Janssen’s spirituality, particularly the faith and values he received from his family. He encouraged participants to build holy, Word-centered families inspired by the example of St. Arnold’s family.

Fr. Savari Rayan focused on the importance of the Word of God in the Church and family life. He encouraged Lay Mission Partners to make their families communities centered on God’s Word, recalling that the family is the domestic Church. He invited them to hear, live, and share the Word, emphasizing that the Word of God sends Christians forth as disciples of Christ in mission.

Through the formation program, participants were encouraged to deepen their identity as Lay Mission Partners and their shared commitment to the mission and spirituality of the Arnoldus Family.
