Janvikas Society Marks 25 Years of Service in Indore

Janvikas Society celebrated its Silver Jubilee on February 21, 2026, marking 25 years of dedicated service to poor and marginalized communities. The celebration was a moment of gratitude to God and appreciation for all who have supported the organization’s mission of social transformation.

The guest of honour was Rev. Fr. Superior General Anselmo Ricardo Ribeiro, SVD.  Among the distinguished guests were Archbishop Durai Raj, SVD; Archbishop Leo Cornelio, SVD; Bishop Chacko, SVD; Bishop Thomas Mathew; Rev. Fr. Paul Raj, SVD; Rev. Sr. Grace, OLG; Mr. Madhu Verma, MLA; and Rotarian Kiran Ghuman.

A telefilm presented the 25-year journey of Janvikas Society, highlighting its work in empowering women, children, youth, migrants, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. Through initiatives in education, livelihood, child protection, and community development, the organization has impacted thousands of lives and has become a visible expression of the SVD’s social mission in Indore.

In their messages, the guests commended the dedication and service of the organization. They recognized the contributions of its founders, directors, staff, volunteers, and community leaders. Fr. Anselmo noted that Janvikas has established a distinctive identity within the SVD through its committed service. Mr. Madhu Verma also praised the organization’s consistent and tireless efforts.

Cultural presentations by children and youth added joy to the celebration, reflecting the positive transformation in their communities. On this occasion, staff members, community leaders, and well-wishers were honored for their valuable contributions. A Silver Jubilee Souvenir was also released, showcasing the history, achievements, and future vision of the organization.

The celebration concluded with a spirit of gratitude and a renewed commitment to continue promoting justice, dignity, and sustainable development among marginalized communities.
