The iberian SVD provinces, Portugal and Spain, held their annual joint retreat in Fatima, Portugal on the 25-30 of august, 2024. Fr. Carlos del Valle, SVD, former rector of Collegio San Pietro Apostolo, Roma, led the week-long spiritual journey of about 80 SVD confreres and SSpS sisters. The retreat took place at Sdivine Fatima Hotel, former SVD minor seminary. This annual joint retreat is held in Portugal as the province celebrates its 75^th jubilee.

The joint retreat served as a moment of renewal for all, as both provinces celebrate milestones; SVD Portugal is completing this year its 75 years of existence and SVD Spain embarks to celebrate its 80 years of existence next year, 2025. May the Divine Word, who called us to work in these two provinces, continue to enrich our lives as witnesses of his light in the world.
