Our Lady of Guadalupe – First Holy Communion 2025

Guilherme Andrino,SVD

This year, our parish one more time was blessed to witness a truly beautiful and grace-filled event: around 150 children received their First Holy Communion at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. The church overflowed with smiles, prayers, and proud hearts as these young souls encountered Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time.

It wasn’t just a special moment for the children—it was a powerful moment for their parents, families, and our entire parish community. As part of the ceremony, each child was lovingly accompanied by the parents during the sacrament, symbolizing the vital role of family in nurturing a life of faith. It’s a small but meaningful gesture that shows how deeply we believe that faith begins at home.

We’re also proud to say that our Religious Education Program is one of the largest in the diocese, with nearly 70 dedicated catechists and assistants guiding and supporting our children throughout the year. Their devotion makes moments like this possible—and unforgettable.

May we continue to walk with our children in faith, love, and service, as they grow closer to Christ and to the heart of the Church. Let us keep them in our prayers as they begin this sacred journey nourished by the Body and Blood of Jesus.
