A three-day international workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the Divine Word Missionaries (SVD) and the Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit (SSpS) concluded today, marking a successful exploration of AI’s potential in communication ministry.
Organized by ASPAC Communications in collaboration with the General Communication Coordinator, the seminar took place from March 7th to 9th, 2024. With 235 registered members and an average daily attendance of 160, the seminar attracted a significant audience eager to learn about AI applications. This is the first workshop of this kind organized for the SVD and SSpS together.

Fr. Anil Ivan Fernandes, the Director of Canara Communication Centre, Mangalore, and Mr. Leo Victor Zalki, the Director of Oxidane Enviro LLP, served as esteemed resource persons, guiding participants through the intricacies of AI. The seminar covered a wide range of topics. The training rages from art of prompting in ChatGPT, Principles of designing in Canva, beautiful text to image creation, mind blowing image to video creation, surprising text to speech creation, amazing animation through prompting, Heart touching story writing and script writing, eye witnessing logo creation, easy book summaries and video summaries through AI tools. 

Fr. Modste SVD, the General Communication Coordinator, and Fr. Anthony Swamy SVD, the ASPAC Zonal Communication Coordinator, played crucial roles in organizing the workshop. This successful event was made possible through the generous sponsorship of the India Central Province (INC). The organizers expressed their gratitude to the Provincials and Regional Superior of the India sub-zone, with a special thanks you to Fr. Maria Paulraj SVD, the Provincial Superior of India Central Province (INC).

This seminar equipped participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills, fostering a deeper understanding of how AI can be leveraged to enhance communication efforts within the SVD-SSpS communities. The insights gained will undoubtedly play a vital role in shaping future communication strategies.
