The biblical scholars from the ABE visit the Editorial Verbo Divino in Estella
On the occasion of the XXXIII Conference of the Spanish Biblical Association held in Pamplona from 17 to 19 June, the members of the ABE visited the headquarters of Editorial Verbo Divino in Estella (Navarra) on Tuesday, 18 June 2024.
Before touring the facilities of the publishing house, the directors of the publishing house, Adam Grondziel and Guillermo Santamaría, welcomed the guest and followed the speech of the president of the EBA, Juan Chapa.
During the visit, the ABE members had the opportunity to explore the various spaces of the publishing house, including the exhibition of the iconic editions of the Children’s Bible, published in 196 languages. They also received a brief explanation of the Holy Gospels of the Capuchin Felipe de Fuenterrabía, the first work printed by Editorial Verbo Divino. José Manuel Sánchez Caro talked about the significance of the Complutensian Polyglot Bible, a facsimile edition of the Verbo Divino catalogue.
Before the farewell, the visitors received each a copy of the book Biblia y ecología, the latest addition to the collection “Monografías bíblicas”, one of the collections that reflect the long and fruitful collaboration between Editorial Verbo Divino and the Spanish Biblical Association.
