Under the theme “Our SVD Reality,” the AFRAM, ASPAC, EUROPE, and PANAM Zones of the Society of the Divine Word gathered for a day of sharing and reflection. Members analyzed their zones ‘ realities through the SWOT framework (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) to foster growth and address challenges.

Each Capitular shared insights about their zones, ensuring that every aspect of their subzones, provinces, regions, and missions was considered. Their dedication was evident as they left no stone unturned.

The rest of the day was spent piecing together these reflections. The groups identified the four most significant strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, creating a comprehensive picture of their zones. They also pinpointed urgent issues, termed “red flag warnings.”

It was heartening to see members huddled in their respective rooms, sharing and discussing their lived experiences. Their collaborative spirit shone brightly, reflecting their commitment to their mission.

June 20s SWOT Day highlighted how our missionary congregation continues to thrive, addressing needs where they are most critical. The day concluded with a Holy Eucharist celebration in honor of the four SVD-blessed martyrs, reinforcing the inspiration and witnessing they left behind.
