Vice Superior General Jose Antunes da Silva actively participated in the PANAM Zonal Assembly 2024, which convened from April 15th to 18th in Panama City. The assembly centered around the theme of “Rediscovering and renewing our charism and mission in a wounded world,” drawing inspiration from Hebrews 12:2: “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith…”

Originally scheduled to take place in Ecuador last year, the Zonal Assembly faced cancellation due to escalating violence and security concerns. Subsequently, the decision to relocate the assembly to Panama was made in August 2023, ensuring the safety and accessibility of the event.
